RADHA KRISHNA LOVE
In the devotional practice of this time, in the light of lighted lantern from evening till 2 o'clock in the night, there is a lot of kirtan of 'Hare Ram' Mahamantra with a continuous flow of tears, with deep meditation and emotion.
Was. Here you used to perform kirtan by clapping your hands and playing dholak. And used to study during the day. Along with studies and Kirtan in how Cantonment, you sometimes used to go for penance and also used to conduct continuous Kirtans for one week to six months. While performing Kirtan, you used to get the eight sattvik feelings in abundance. While dancing in Kirtan, he would start chanting Hari Hari Bol, Bol Hari Bol, and in the end, he would fall unconscious. Similarly, your devotees also have feelings according to their state of devotion. For many years he kept traveling from place to place and conducting Sankirtan. Sometimes he would also talk about some classical knowledge.
INFORMAL DISCOURSES
After completing his studies in 1945, apart from how he used to go to other cities of the country and conduct kirtans. Now there was a lot of crowd in the Kirtan. Kirtan, bhajan and verse interpretation took place in the morning, afternoon, and night. You also started solving people's doubts. Now you used to go to conferences sometimes when people invited you. But your kind heart could not accept that great learned speakers should continue to mislead the public and keep them away from true devotion to God.
“Our speaking was also like this in those days. Once we started speaking in the evening, we spoke till 4 in the morning. Everyone slept and spoke with their eyes closed in those days. Who is gone? Who slept? Or everyone left. We don't care about this. He is speaking with his eyes closed, like a madman. Yes. We started speaking with our eyes open since 1955 when the conference was held in Chitrakoot.”
ORGANIZED SPIRITUAL CONFERENCES
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj organized the Chitrakoot conference in 1955. About 72 saints and scholars from all over India were present in this unique Sant Sammelan, which ran from 16 October 1955 to 31 October 1955.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj started speaking on the second day. Whoever heard his speech was mesmerized. Young, old, illiterate and learned, men or women were equally attracted towards him. The most learned Mahatma and preachers were also listening to his speech with great interest. You were establishing your opinion for 2-2, 3-3 hours every day, giving examples of all the Vedas, Shastras, Bhagwat, Geeta, Ramayana, etc. He was also coordinating the things that appeared to be contradictory to each other in the scriptures. In these speeches, you discussed the ultimate goal of the living being, the nature of God, the nature of the soul, the nature of the world, the ways to attain God, the absolute necessity of a great man in attaining God, a great man devoted to God, the usefulness of devotion in the path of karma, the path of knowledge, the path of devotion, universality, threw light on universal accessibility, etc. in detail and with examples. He also described in detail the formless and corporeal Brahman and the mystery of the incarnation and bad company.
He coordinated the principles of Western philosophical theories and various Indian philosophical theories by describing in detail Advaita and Dvaita and also Vishishtadvaita, Dvaitadvaita, Shuddhadvaita, Achintyabhedabheda and Pushtimarg.
The second convention was held in Kanpur from 5 October 1956 to 19 October 1956. Many great Mahatmas were invited in that also.
HONOURED WITH JAGADGURU TITLE
Invitation to visit Kashi by Kashi Vidvat Parishad When Rajnarayan ji Shastri, a Kashi scholar returned to Varanasi. And when he told other scholars of Kashi Vidvat Parishat about Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, they said that whoever goes there comes back under a spell, he should be called here. Let us also see how much truth is there in the words of these people. How is it possible that a boy has complete knowledge of thousands of texts; Because we know how complex they are, how much depth is there in those texts. They sent an invitation to Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj to come to Kashi. On the same day, Shastri ji met Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj and invited him to come to Kashi. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj's answer was that you should call the entire scholarly council. I will come as soon as I get information.”
Now when Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj's sermon started there, our humorous natured Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj started speaking in very simple Sanskrit, after listening to which he who was a great scholar of Kashi, said - That's it! Is this their Sanskrit? We were already saying that he was exaggerating. But after a while, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj started speaking in sophisticated Sanskrit. Now his ears perked up, and after that, he started speaking in compound Sanskrit. He kept increasing his level of Sanskrit for some time and after that finally, he gave a sermon in such Sanskrit, which was so difficult that some scholars among those scholars were able to understand it with difficulty.
When nine days of discourse had passed i.e. it was about to end, a meeting of those scholars was held. And their president Shri Narayan Shastri Khistye said that look! Now either someone should talk to him through scriptures or he will have to be given the title of Jagadguru. Now we are trapped. We have called them.
So the scholars said that the study of scriptures is done through human beings, these are not human beings. What study can we do from these? And Then the next day i.e. on 14 January 1957, with the unanimous consent of all the scholars, he bowed before the supernatural talent of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj and was honored with the title of “Jagadguruttam”. At this time his age was only 34 years.
RAVELLED THROUGHOUT INDIA AND SPREAD KNOWLEDGE THROUGH DISCOURSES
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj's life journey of 91 years is a virtuous story of his life of struggle, sacrifice, penance, and dedication to propagating the principle of devotion while enunciating the classical principles. To satisfy the spiritual hunger of the seekers for the establishment of Sanatan Vedic Dharma and to give love to the lovers, he has roamed from place to place throughout his life without worrying about his happiness, rest, or food and has propagated the exclusive selfless devotion of Shri Krishna.
Your sermon series in every city were for one month, 25 days. He preached for about 2 hours a day, that too with his body exposed in every season, be it cold, summer, or rainy season. He himself did the publicity work and gave sermons himself.
Making even the most difficult classical principles comprehensible to the general public is the specialty of his preaching style. He used to present the most esoteric classical principles in such a captivatingly simple style that even the most retarded people, by listening to them continuously, become such philosophers who make even the most learned logicians irrational. The mixture of practical experiences of daily life along with simplicity and lucidity is a major feature of his discourse. Through spoken language itself, he imparts the most difficult classical principles into the minds of living beings.
Let's fill it. Only a great man dedicated to Brahman can be capable of doing this. When he speaks the verses of the scriptures and Vedas as proof in the sermons, it seems as if all the scriptures and Vedas are present in front of him with folded hands and he is turning the pages one after the other. The title Shrimatpadvakyapramanaparavarin given by Kashi Vidvatparishat is clearly visible in his sermons.
